Hi all,

My name is Surbhi Bansal, and before you decide to either read or not to read my blogs, I want you to know that it'll be worth your time. Throughout this website I will be posting my perspectives on various of topics from education, politics, relationships to spiritual guidance. And for you to believe and accept that my ideologies are coming from pure facts and experience you will need to know who I am and what I do.

I graduated from York University and currently at Niagara University pursuing Bachelors of Education (BEd) hoping to become a permanent teacher. I believe I am an extrovert, I like to express my opinions and my perspectives on topics I find amusing. People tell me that I am very social; put me in a group of strangers and I'll be friends with them by the end of the night. I believe communication is an important factor of life, with such skill you come to acknowledge other people's cultures, norms, lifestyle and interests.

As a Hindu, based on stereotypes I assumed that my parents like many others would want me to solely focus on education, grades and my career. But I can proudly say that I am blessed to have parents that allowed me to express my talents throughout my life. One of my talents that I am still pursing is dance. For 7 years I had been a part of Shiamak Davar Dance Academy, the experience not only helped me tweak my dancing skills, but also gave me the confidence to perform on stage. My Bollywood dancing skills became an asset in the talent round in Miss India Worldwide Canada 2015, as I won the 2nd runner up title. I still remember walking on the ramp, as a 21-year-old girl, smiling as hard as I could, giving my best not knowing what the outcome would be. When I won the title Miss Social Media and 2nd runner up 2015, I believed I was the happiest girl in the world, only because the smile and the tears I saw in my parent's eyes, made me realize that I've done it. With that title, I was offered a multiple of Punjabi music videos with famous singers that I only saw on television. With that I made a small name for myself, people began knowing me and appreciating for the work I've done in the music videos. With that being said, music and art has always been a passion of mine, I dance, play the piano and act from time to time.

So then why teaching? I believe that to be an efficient and effective teacher, you must be a great performer. Teaching is all about the performance of knowledge. And with all the activities I have done, I have learned to be more organized, confident, positive, understanding and most importantly a great performer; that will eventually be an asset to my teaching methods. As a teacher, I want to be more than just an educator, I want to make an impact on students and make a difference in their lives. I have an extreme love for kids, and I want to be able to guide them in the right path as they are developing and become the future of our world. But before I can do that, I want to be educated about the different aspects of life. Hence, the knowledge I gain through research, I plan on recording throughout this blog. So, that other people will benefit from my learning process.
